The Great Southern Bioblitz is an annual citizen science initiative undertaken across the southern hemisphere that invites the community to make observations of nature. The information collected is highly useful for biodiversity managers and researchers to see trends in our natural environment and help them plan for better future outcomes.
Sightings of local plants and animals are recorded using the freely available iNaturalist app. Its as simple as exploring, being curious and taking photographs of nature in your local community - no prior experience is necessary.
This workshop will be run in 2 locations:
Tumut Library : Monday 20th October 10.30am to 12.00noon
Gundagai Library : Tuesday 21st October 10.30am to 12.00noon
What to bring: a phone/smart device (where possible download the iNaturalist app to your device before you come - we can help if needed)
Questions/RSVP: Contact Cherie White, Riverina LLS on 0427 407 126 or email cherie.white@lls.nsw.gov.au
